The dog can’t defend himself so there has to be strict rules in order to protect dog groomers needing good grooming services. People believe that a professional dog groomer is licensed already.

There are no health regulations for amateur groomer shops, and several with store locations that are not licensed or abide by any kind of health codes.

Several dog grooming places you will discover cockroaches and other problems. Professional methods of sanitizing the place, basic guidelines of safety codes handling pets, and good crating guidelines, are actually ignored  or are forgotten to several groomers who have only bought grooming license and began self-groomed dog grooming services.

It is important that you make your appt. in a reasonable time especially for large breeds that are ofter more fearful than small dogs.  Also, giving your groomer plenty of time and not rushing the groomer insures safety. Like you hear my dogs day at the Spa.  The pet does not neccesarily feel upset about being here for the day.  An animal has no essence of time.  It is the owner who is in reaction.  Actually, a pet who is so anxious is a disturbance to the entire day and a groomer will do their best to get the dog groomed and sent hope.  Not just for the pet or client but for the good of every other animal and the groomer.

Ticks lay their eggs in various places, but not on their hosts.   Usually, they are laid and hatched in their enviornment. Female ticks can lay up to 22,000 eggs in a single egg-laying event.

After ticks hatch, they seek a host, feed for several days, then drop off and become nymphal ticks, which repeat the same process to become adult ticks.Adults also seek a host, feed and drop off, laying thier eggs in the enviroment to complete their life cycle.

Ticks that are out and about are the visable adult, sesame-sized ones, noted Kristen Nordlund of the Centers for Disease  Control and Prevention.

Once ticks find a host, they securly attach themselves by imbedding their mouth parts as holdfast to the pets skin,and begin feeding off it's blood. If a tick is carelessly pulled off, the head often remains in the skin. As the tick continues to feed, ticks become engorged with the pet's blood and their size can increase by several times.

Ticks pose a health threat to both pet's and people. Ticks transmit disease-causing agents, several of which have risen to epidemic proportions. Some of the most common tick- borne diseases are lyme disease, rocky mountian spotted fever, and Ehrlichiosis.

Since 1992 cases of Lyme Disease have doubled, according to CDC, and more then 21,000 cases are reported every year.

 Dog Grooming Needs
Upon taking a dog along with you at home, you need to make sure that they have what it takes to live happy and contented with you. Dog grooming is very vital to make sure that your pet is well taken care of. You need to bathe him on a regular basis and make sure that he is free from fleas to keep him happy at all times. Here are some of the most important things you need to know regarding proper grooming of your dog:
1. First thing you must do is to make him used to bathing and the refreshing feeling it brings. You need to run your fingers onto his fur so he will be relaxed and he will feel that you are there by his side so he doesn’t need to worry. Upon making him relaxed, now is the time for you to look for certain areas of the body that needs proper cleaning. One of the parts you need to watch out for is the dog’s hair. This can sometimes be matted so you need to find a perfected way to clean it and see where the knots are so you can resolve this issue.
2. If you see that the hair where matted build ups are needs to be trimmed, you should be careful about it so your dog will not be harmed. Without the knots and long hair that may hinder him from moving around freely, your dog will be happy and there will be no hindrances around when you bathe him. Bathing also stimulates his skin so to release the natural oil and to make his coat glossier.
3. Regular bathing is needed but if you saw some flakes on his skin, make sure that you change the soap you use on him because it causes his skin to be dry and flaky.
4. After grooming, it is vital to shampoo your dog to take away fleas that migrates on his head. Just make sure that you carefully apply shampoo onto his head so the eyes will not be harmed. You need to read the label of the shampoo bottle you bought. It is vital especially if you are using an anti-flea shampoo since these types of shampoos should be used 2x or 3x a week only and must be left onto the head of the dog for not more than 3 minutes. Rinse after wards and dry him.
